TD100E: A Professionally Engineered Aerospace Product

This is not a toy

One look is all it takes to realize the TD100E Unmanned Aircraft System is different. Every aspect of this meticulous machine looks and feels like a real aircraft. And that’s because it is one.

In an industry where off-the-shelf systems are being promoted as breakthroughs, where hobbyist parts from Hong Kong are being cobbled together and labelled “UAS” - the TD100E comes with an unparalleled pedigree.

Its aerodynamic design springs from the imagination of Brian Eggleston - whose nearly four-decade career with de Havilland Aircraft included managing the Advanced Design unit and directing Technical Design and Research. His career and reputation were built by designing and improving the safety, performance and efficiency of passenger aircraft. The TD100E draws on every aspect of his considerable expertise.

Its flawless production and mechanics come from Brian McLuckie - whose Brican Automated Systems Inc. is acknowledged as Canada’s leader in custom robotic systems and factory automation. McLuckie also shares a background in aviation, and has designed and built aircraft he has flown.

These two men, working with a highly specialized team, have produced an aircraft whose avionics, build quality, reliability and payload capacity are second to none. It is also the only made-in-Canada, fixed-wing UAS in its class.

MISSION-SPECIFIC DATA CAPTURED, DELIVERED

The TD100E and other aircraft being developed for Brican Flight Systems (BFS) are rapidly evolving to meet the professional aerospace needs for safer ways to acquire valuable data without compromising quality. Brican Flight Systems specializes in custom-engineering the TD100 variant for your specific sensor and data requirements. We customize the craft, assist in defining mission objectives, fly the integrated system - and deliver the data. The TD100 is the research vessel and core of a fast-growing, full-service Remotely Piloted Aircraft System (RPAS) Brican Flight Systems will offer shortly.

Brican Flight Systems will provide the latest technologies from its collaboration with professional aerospace technology partners to meet the needs of the Civil aviation sector. With our light weight and portable launcher and landing system, sophisticated ground station systems and highly skilled staff, we can carry out missions pretty much any place on earth - including in harsh environments too hazardous for conventional aircraft.

Much like the International Space Station orbits the earth gathering data - the TD100 has been built to fulfill the same function a little closer to home. It has been specifically designed to carry state-of-the-art sensors capable of reliably capturing high-quality data, and then safely returning the package to the ground. It’s a testament to our engineering and advanced composites that we can carry a 20-pound sensor load while remaining within our class take-off limit of 55 pounds. No other UAV in this class can make that claim.

Brican Flight Systems is committed to pushing the twin envelopes of technology and value - while ensuring that every aspect of our craft and piloting meet and exceed all regulatory SMS standards.

DESIGNED AND BUILT BY AEROSPACE ENGINEERS

The TD100E utilizes the absolute latest in manufacturing materials and techniques. Exotic carbons and composites keep down the weight, while our custom-machined substructure gives this aircraft incredible rigidity and strength. We manufacture in-house, using the latest in CAD software, Computational Fluid Dynamics, and direct CNC mold shaping to virtually eliminate error. Our airfoil has even undergone extensive analysis at the University of Toronto's Institute of Aerospace Studies.

We are currently having the TD100E tested against "Best Practices" - and are confident it will attain or even surpass the engineering requirements for civil aviation “UAS” certification compliance. Our aerospace engineers are constantly refining the product to ensure it both retains its outstanding reputation - and exceeds all regulatory requirements.

It is, in every aspect, a real aircraft - one increasingly recognized as such by the aerospace world. The only difference is size - and the fact our pilots have the luxury of avoiding dangerous, life-threatening, or even simply monotonous hours in the cockpit.
